Who is your next investor?

Capital raising for a startup rarely comes from a bank, but can take on many other forms.

You will likely start with a co-founder then ask your family/friends to invest, then jump from seed capital to an Angel Investor, eventually needing a more sophisticated Series A/B investor.  If you’re really brave you might get to IPO.

Keeping clean records of the capital being invested and how the money is being spent is just as important as understanding who is likely to invest and when.
